Society Hill SynagogueYoung Friends(20- and 30-somethings)
The Young Friends of Society Hill Synagogue bring together 20- and 30-somethings — singles and couples — for Shabbat dinners, holiday celebrations, happy hours, and other gatherings here at the synagogue and throughout Greater Philadelphia. A large number of our congregation’s newer members are in their 20s and 30s, and we’re excited to offer an expanding array of programs for them, with leadership from Young Friends Co-Chairs Anna Wiener, Louis Polcin, and Alexis Rosen.
If you would like to learn more and get to know fellow 20- and 30-somethings in a fun, welcoming ambiance, please contact Anna, Louis, and Alexis at youngfriends(at)societyhillsynagogue.org. We look forward to meeting you!

Young Professional Take Over Night at Theatre Ariel
🗓️ Thursday, November 21 🕒 7:00 pm 📍Theatre Ariel — Philadelphia, PA
Tribe 12, NextGen, Moishe House Philadelphia, Young Friends of Rodeph Shalom, and Young Friends of Society Hill Synagogue are taking over Theatre Ariel, Philadelphia’s only Jewish theatre, for a one-night-only stage invasion of their production of Amsterdam! There will be opportunities to socialize and meet new people! After the show, enjoy a lively post-show chat with the creative team.
About the show: Four actors take us on the whirlwind, stream-of-consciousness journey of a Jewish woman living in Amsterdam who stumbles upon a long-forgotten gas bill from 1944. The bill’s implications send her on a riveting exploration of identity, legacy and life in diaspora. Immediate, theatrical and timely, you’ll want to be there when Theatre Ariel presents this unique production in its Philadelphia premiere!
