Society Hill Synagogue is conveniently located at 418 Spruce Street in the historic Society Hill neighborhood, served by SEPTA bus routes 12 and 57. The synagogue’s office hours are 9:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Our building is accessible to differently abled people. If using a wheelchair, please enter through our Paula Kline Learning Center door on Spruce Street. An elevator can be used to access the first and second floors and our rear courtyard. Free parking is available during Friday evening and Saturday morning Shabbat services and during all High Holiday services on:
  • the east side of 4th Street from Pine Street to Spruce Street,
  • the west side of 4th Street from Spruce Street to Locust Street,
  • and the west side of 5th Street from Lombard Street to Locust Street.
Such parking requires placing a synagogue-branded parking placard on your dashboard. You may pick up this placard in our synagogue lobby. Even with the placard, there is no parking permitted at any time by fire hydrants, in crosswalks, blocking garages, or in a parking spot for people with disabilities if you do not have a valid permit for parking in a spot for people with disabilities.
